Palm Treo 800w spotted in new pics, price and release date rumored
Well folks, it's real... and it's in the wild. You can get a better idea about the size from these photos, but unfortunately it's looking about as clunky and dated as what we've seen previously (in spy shots and flashed on the screen during Gates' CES keynote). Sprint users, lucky you. Hey, at least it's not this thing.
Update: According to our friends at WMExperts, the 800w is rumored to be heading onto store shelves come July 13th, with a price tag of $249.99 (after instant discount and mail-in rebate). Of course, there's no confirmation on that just yet, so don't place any bets.
[Thanks, Surur]

There's something about seeing Windows Mobile on a Palm that makes me ROFFPNMFPLMFAO.

Those softkeys are silly.

Dear GAWD, that is so dated. Maybe if it was released after the Sprint Mogul and before the Sprint Touch, it may have stood a chance at looking "okay".

Get with the times guys. This guy said that the 800w was coming out on July 13th in early May. http:digitalnauseum.blogspot.com

..... Not that it matters, since it's a business device. *rolling eyes*
You Palm junkies/apologists just die for the chance to have it both ways. Good thing for the rest of the world, that strategy is always gasping for air and sticking out like a sore thumb.

WoW! An updated 750 with 2005's top-of-the-line features! Got your spec order in a few years late, Sprintster!

I am still mystified at how ugly this phone is compared to the GSM treo 850. I guess that their market research indicates that the American use community will accept an ugly looking phone.

As an admitted Palm apologist, I must say this phone looks very busy and dated. I thought Colligan hired the iPhone designer to create the next batch of Treos? This think looks uglier than a Treo 650 w/ a cracked touchscreen.
