O2 to pick up HTC Touch Pro for its Xda line
Given the carrier's history this really comes as no surprise, but the::unwired is reporting that O2 Germany will definitely be adding the just-announced HTC Touch Pro to its lineup later this year as part of its long-running Xda line of Windows Mobile devices. Typically, Xdas have diverged from HTC's standard designs for a given model, but it appears that O2 has stuck with the Touch Pro formula here -- wisely, may we add -- only swapping out the stylized rear for a more subdued soft-touch one. That already puts the carrier count for the Touch Pro in Germany at two, while most of the world's fine nations are still at zero. Seriously uncool, guys!

man if it comes stateside i hope they too get rid of that "stylized" back!

How stupid of them to remove the diamond-shaped rear.
Juice @ Jun 6th 2008 3:34PM
Why? It's not called a Diamond. Nor is it "stylish" or useful. I'd rather have a non slip device than a slip device.

What the hell?!
How long is Sprint going to sit on this?
They are focusing on the Instinct when they should give us the Diamond and Raph all at the same time.

Like the Touch Diamond, T-Mobile and O2 have got a slightly rounder case as well, which I think looks a bit better. I certainly wouldn't turn down the stock models, though!

The Sprint version is supposedly coming Q3/Q4 so don't expect it this summer.
