Kyocera cranks with Virgin Mobile Festival Special Edition Wild Card
If, for whatever reason, a Tony Hawk-branded Sidekick LX just isn't your bag, how's about this limited edition alternative? Aside from actually being more than a figment of someone's imagination, Kyocera's $99.99 Virgin Mobile Festival Special Edition Wild Card is definitely in the running for longest mobile name of all time. You'll also find a few musical touches added in, like the 50 free eMusic song downloads (enthralling, we know), graffiti-style Festival graphics, exclusive wallpapers and a one-year subscription to SPIN magazine. Interested consumers can look exclusively at Best Buy for this one until July 31st (unless the 15,000 are snapped up earlier), and make sure you bring it to the Baltimore Festival for gratis access to the Virgin Mobile Guest Lounge -- sure to be stacked wall-to-wall with nerds just like you. One more shot after the jump.

what's the point of having it flip open like that if the internal screen is going to be the same tiny size as the external one? you might as well just make it slide like the lg rumor does. ridiculous.

i hate to say it, because that thing is ugly as all hell, but they really did this right. 16 year olds are going to love this. and all of those extra goodies they throw in make that normally high price (for such a ugly piece of shit phone) seem reasonable. so they've done their homework, they know what the kids AND their parents want.

well.....even though u think it's ugly i love i'm like 13 and i just got it and i c y it araccts most of my friends. we all want something thats easy and fast to text on. kyocera did a good job avertizing it with a well taken picture and blowing up the inside screen up to look like it's a benifit. if ur all wondering y ppl (mostly kids) like it so much it's because it's styish and they like a phone thats flips in different directions and usally when kids dont like thier phone they don't care and just keep it and decorate it to make it look like how they want. this sounds like a good phone in the discription the only problem u have with ti is the screen and camera. if u have younger friends about my age give it to them and u'll get a whole new fone back!

@slamEVIL: I'm 16, but I really have to say it's a beautiful phone. I have to say it's the Blackberrys that are just plain ugly.
