That seems to require some more testing. There has not been any cases of bricking a phone but some t-mobile users are reporting issues with their SIM card. I can confirm it works with 8310, 8100, 8110, 8800, & 8820 like a charm.

If your interested in T-mobile UMA support look for the older OS 4.5.0.18 which worked fine with UMA from what I remember. No promises. :)

BerryReview

Comments on BlackBerry OS 4.5.0.37 finds its way onto the web

Where might I find that?

carcomptoy

Comments on BlackBerry OS 4.5.0.37 finds its way onto the web

UMA is not working on mine after i installed it which suks but wifi works and i must say wifi is faster i dunno why. also youtube works ! and the os is great no bugs found yet only the UMA service any ideas if there is a fix for this ?

Rey

Comments on BlackBerry OS 4.5.0.37 finds its way onto the web

Any experienced 8700G-users with the most recent 4.5.0.37 on TMo? I can tell you that the latest is 4.5.0.42. However, the reason why I say if you don't know how to load an OS onto your BB, you should wait for a stable official version and then follow the usual steps posted in most (if not all) BB message boards out there. Some people have experienced fried SIM cards with some releases of Beta 4.5. Not that many (maybe a couple) have experienced it on 4.5.0.42 though. Some applications won't work right with 4.5 either, i.e. Google Maps, you have to do some workaround to make it work. Best bet is to read up on some message boards and decide if you want to make the plunge and start messing with your OS.

Eric

Comments on BlackBerry OS 4.5.0.37 finds its way onto the web

We've been having hits on our mobile site with version 5???
Here are the header details.

header-name:user-agent
header-value:BlackBerry8110/5.0.0.20 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/-1

header-name:x-wap-profile
header-value:"http://www.blackberry.net/go/mobile/profiles/uaprof/8110/5.0.0.rdf"

Olaf Dunn

Comments on BlackBerry OS 4.5.0.37 finds its way onto the web

I had 4.5.0.37 installed on my 8320.......BB browser was messed up and it would not connect to UMA.
