We're seeing an awful lot of this thing lately, which we take as a positive sign that a rumored June launch is still a very solid possibility. The LG
VX8610, alias "Decoy," earns its stripes with a curious integrated Bluetooth headset that should draw its fair share of curious onlookers once it's finally tethered to kiosks in a few weeks. Say, how are they going to secure the headset on the dummy, anyway? Glue?

Are you sure that's the right phone? They might be trying to throw you off the trail...

Great, so now I get to have a mini cell phone to go along with my real one?
On first look, I'm just not impressed. Seems a bit gimmicky although the cell phone charging is a really good idea.

This NEEDS to be a feature on the HTC Advantage. Stow away BT headset.

I think detachable earpiece ought to be a feature of every cellphone. That way maybe people wouldn't feel the need to always be walking around like Star Trek toolbags. They could, you know, stow the thing when they weren't waiting for AN URGENT CALL FROM THE PRESIDENT THAT COULD COME AT ANY MINUTE.

We all know that would not stop the blue douche users from keeping it in their ear at all times. That is if they haven't already had it surgically (or low tech, super glue) attached to their ear.

that's one ugly phone....

That's one ugly phone. Never mind the bluetooth headset.
dan.fuchs @ May 23rd 2008 8:53PM
A lot of people have been calling this phone ugly, but I find it to be fairly attractive.
I think it closely resembles the chocolate...I guess the bump on the back may be kind of a turn off....
What do you guys think?
Anthony @ May 23rd 2008 11:16PM
The back's not the ugly part (not *that* ugly). The front has too much frame around the LCD & the slightly raised, rounded area for the hard keys is very 90s (& not in a retro startac kind of way).

One thing i don't really like about the look is the menu. I greatly appreciate it being the non traditional Verizon UI but still....there is something about the menu that just turns me off.

IMO this will be one of the best looking phones verizon will carry as long as they keep the same material/look combination (brushed aluminum look with black with blue accent). The best looking phones verizon carries currently are the blackberry pearl, and htc touch, and the previous chocolate. The new enV2 is fugly, worst design on a phone i've seen.
This UI also looks better, hopefully it looks like that and not the standard verizon interface.
