LG enV(2) graces Verizon tomorrow
Get those textin' thumbs ready, peeps, because your latest weapon of choice is just about ready for you. LG's enV(2)-- a phone that we'd argue takes attractive design far more seriously than its predecessor -- will be available in exchange for a reasonable sum of cash (or cash equivalent) tomorrow, April 30, in Verizon stores across the land. Far more than a mere text machine, the enV(2) features a 2 megapixel camera, microSD slot, GPS, and a big ol' 2.4-inch display when the clam is opened. The only question left, really, is black or maroon?

This looks great, but I'm really wanting to hear any tidbits about the pending (Mid-May?) LG99 coming to Verizon (from the Ironman TV commercial).

The only other big LG push for Verizon is the 9700 (Dare) which was the focus of an article earlier today.
Beyond that, I assume you are talking about the LG/Iron Man commercial that ends with the url: http://www.insidethesuit.com That site features the Voyager for Verizon, Shine and upcoming Vu for AT&T, the Rumor for Sprint, and Glimmer for Alltel.
I think the only mention of LG99 is some keyword for the website listed above. There is no actual phone coming by that name. The phone primarily featured in the commercial is the Voyager.

My understanding is that the LG99 is just a code word that gets you additional content on the ironman site.
Looking forward to the 9700 though. I'm going to have to wait for some reviews before I get it though. The touch tech better be vastly improved if they expect me to use an on screen QWERTY.

I've had some serious playing time with this phone and it is sweet. I love the redisigned interface and the much more compact size (compared to the enV). The smaller front screen is a slight dislike, but it's nothing I could never get used to.

This phone has been available for order through CS for days now.

I saw this in my verizon store on 4/26... looks nice!! a lot smaller than i thought it would be... very good design... seemed solid!!

The front screen is definitely a minus. It's like the Upstage, which is a turd of a phone.

4 verizon stores dont have them in. half of them say the release date is not today. One said you could buy it online last month. This is a joke. Stupid verizon stores.

I LOVE THIS PHONE!!!
I had my green enV listed n eBay aweek before it came out. It came out, my enV sold for $300, bought it in black for my corp. price (love this industry).
Texting is btr than enV, speakers are excellent, camera not too bad. I use bluetooth since I drive in one of those states, so reg call sounds are still unknown. I got the phone with three bars, day 4, still have 2 left.
Did I say that I LOVE THIS PHONE?

I got mine from http://www.pixycell.com/verizon-env2-vx9100-cellphone-black-p-247.html. I love how it's thinner, so it's less bulky in my pocket but I still miss the nice old grip of the old env.

I LOVE this phone! I have it in Maroon & it's better than the enV!
And whoever thinks it looks like a calculater, BRING IT TO MATH CLASS!
Lol.
PROS: Awesome keypad, nice weight (light), and overall a great phone. AWESOME Price!!
CONS: The screen on the front is very tiny. I also like the original enV layout better, but it's discontinued so I have to deal.
