this is great and will lighten many-a-person's pocket who carries around 2 mobile phones in Africa as well. If they add an extra sim slot, and add quad-band they will round off the perfect mobile traveller! Others please!!!

Chinese CDMA uses SIM-like cards called R-UIM. Thus, this phone is dual-slot and dual-SIM (both slots are designed to read GSM or CDMA cards). Good for Africa then, not so much for North/South America.
