HTC's Touch Dual makes US debut at CTIA
Brace yourself, US-based Touch Dual lovers -- the handset that your Japanese / European friends have been taunting you with for months is finally making the trip stateside. Slated to launch "later this quarter" (at Best Buy initially, of all places), the US Touch Dual will come rocking Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, TouchFLO, Office Mobile, Live HTC Home, a 2-megapixel camera, quad-band GSM support and HSDPA connectivity. Sadly, HTC didn't give us the pleasure of knowing a price, but we'll be keeping an ear to the ground for more exact details surrounding the release.

Is this going to finally have triband HSDPA? Why must they ditch the lovely 20key keyboard that I like.

Want.
Apparently it is 850/1900 HSDPA.

Still no video drivers, but maybe QTV drivers finally.

Front facing video camera? Video conferencing on ATT confirmed?

The press release does list the 20-key keyboard variant, not the 16, so there is some hope!

This should be a great product, but I would prefer that the T-Mobile/HTC would release it for the US market. I would like this phone over the T-Mobile Shadow.

I work as a rep for tmo and there has been alot of talk about the 3G replacements for the winmo devices (shadow, wing, Dash) That and when i first went to the sort of debut thing for the shadow they said the ut was going to be the first in a series like the sidekicks. How sick would it be if the touch dual was the shadow 2. The other version has the same keypad as the current shadow and it will be out around time for 3g to roll out national. reply if you think this is plausible
