Okay, our excitement about this one was just tempered a little bit. From the front, it's still a really cool (dare we say attractive) device when closed, but it seems to suggest a side profile that just isn't there. On the contrary, the
enV(2) is pretty thick and ugly when glanced from its side -- by necessity, we suppose -- and the interior is pretty reminiscent of enVs and Voyagers of yore. Don't get us wrong, we think Verizon's going to sell a million of these -- we just came into it hoping for a little more industrial design beyond the wild new face.

Could you flip it open and grab pictures of the inside?

That's too bad, because I was just about to complement Verizon on their first decent looking phone, because the front DOES look pretty slick. I knew it was too good to be true.

I agree with shaniac. Couldn't you get any pics of the phone open so that we could see the internal keyboard? Or did LG tell you not to take any pics of it open?

I don't see what the problem is... it looks pretty thin to me, considering what's inside. Is the main complaint that it's ugly? Because I could care less how a phone looks from the side as long as it works well.

It looks a little thicker than I thought it would be, but not as thick as the article makes it sound. It should be just fine tucked away in my wife's purse. I wouldn't want to carry it around in my pants pocket though.

click on the gallery link to see more pictures. there are a couple pics of the inside at the end.

I had the original enV, and this...Well, this looks nothing like an enV. It doesn't even look like an LG phone, really. The front screen looks even smaller than either the enV or the V's screens, wonder if you can even take pictures/video with it closed?

I would actually like it better if it didn't flip open and were just what you see on the front, and were accordingly thin. It would make a good phone for people who just want something basic. As it is it doesn't really stand out from the crowd of similar QWERTY flip phones.

I just talked to one of our local verizon stores. The EnV2 is set to be released on April 30.
I'm holding out to see how much the Glyde is going to be and when that will be released.
It will either be the glyde or Env2 for my next phone.
