T-Mobile's latest pair of cheap Samsungs: meet the T229 and T339
We don't know much of anything about these two, but as phoneArena points out, their model numbers suggest that they'll shore up T-Mobile's bottom shelf (so to speak -- we don't think T-Mobile stores really have a bottom shelf, per se). The T229 and T339 look the part, too, though we suppose the squarish T339 has a sorta stately, uptight appearance that we think could pass for a slightly higher-end device. No word on a release date or anything like that, but with any luck, we'll find out a thing or two about 'em at CTIA next week.

WTF!!! Seriously. I love TMO, but this love affair with Samsung is killing me! Bring on the high end SE phones!

You don't want a SE phone, they lock up and fail just like anything made by sony since the mid 1990's.... SE is the reason that Cingular drops calls so bad.. all their towers are SE.... T-Mobiles are Lucent... and we have the fewest dropped calls.... Samsung phones are absolutely awesome, the worst phones in the world are as follows: Motorola, Kyocera, Sony, Sanyo....

SE's phones are in no way related to the towers.
I'm not saying that the towers aren't by SE, I'm just saying that don't trash their handsets because of their towers(I'm not even sure if they make ALL the towers).
SE's handsets are great. Having owned over 10, they're more reliable than a handset from any other manufacturer. Nokia's have failed and Motorola's are just crap.
The worst problem I've had with an SE is for it to freeze and require a restart.
The only phone that has actually worked consistently well that wasn't made by SE, were the 5 Samsung's I've owned.
