BlackBerry Curve 8330 inbound for Sprint next month?
After seeing how the Pearl developed from the 8100 into the 8130, we can only guess that RIM must get some sick kick out of playing its GSM and CDMA customers off against one another. Come on, you just know Sprint and Verizon were probably beating down RIM's door the second the Curve was announced for GSM carriers across the lands, and if we had to guess, there's probably been a mad rush on the part of said carriers to get the so-called 8330 into their labs, approved, and onto shelves as quickly as possible following its development. Right now it's looking like Sprint would like (emphasis on "like") to have the Curve available in all retail channels on the 20th of April, according to a release document being floated over at Boy Genius Report. Our hearts have been broken too many times to count on that date, but by golly, we're hoping.

This is Not a Sprint Document though. This is a 3rd party vendor document. May not be 100% guaranteed April 16th.

Is it just me or does that chart list the phone as the "BlackBerry Curve 8830" ?
The fact that it's not a Sprint document probably explains the overlooked typo.

"Curve 8830"-this is what Sprint customer svc is calling it when asked about the April 20 launch, too. After the announcement today that the REAL Curve is coming to Verizon, I wonder if this is really just an update to the 8830 world phone. Damn Sprint!!

Verizon....can you hear me now? GET THIS ASAP.

Do do doooo... the party you are trying to reach is currently not accepting new handset requests. Please try again later.

The phone is really coming out in retail on April 9th. Already been announced here. Looks like black too. Red one will be released in June.

What about the Samsung M800?

Kudos to Michael S above, cracked me up.
I would love one! But after 9 years with Sprint, I've learned to not get my hopes up too much.

Oh reaaaaallly. Seriously, when is Sprint going to come up with some new shiz? Same phones and most of which are new, are Nextel. Is there that big of need for pic functionality for the click and talk crowd? Anyway, 8 eights strong here and debating on whether or not to sit any longer thru the Storm. Come up with some new phones already!!! LOL!!! Ps. I don't think I can wait for the m800 'til June??!?! They need to get on that asap. There really isn't much left appealing to Sprint anymore.

Um . . . and no one is saying anything about a price tag of $600? That is $50 more than the 8800 World Phone. AT&T sells the Curve for $350. Even with the $150 I could get back from having my old phone for two years the price is ridiculous. I have stayed with Sprint through all the headaches. For once they get a phone I would like (way after AT&T) and they find away to punch me.
