They give you that over sized box because it's likely you won't be able to afford your home after you buy the phone.
It's actually very environmentally friendly- since you won't be using electricity & you'll be living under a bridge (mind you- in your *very* snazzy cardboard box).
A very stupid unfunny and immature comment. It may be expensive but for some people, in some places in the world and in some social groups/communities, items like this are accepted, purchased and enjoyed. It isn't made for everyone, most definately not you...
I think, Ali, that you're missing the social comment I am making regarding the appropriateness of the "accepted, purchased and enjoyed" aspect of overpriced luxury items like this when so many others are struggling to stay above water.
I think there's many other things wrong in this world than just Nokia's 8xxx series and 8xxx series isnt really anything too luxuries(compared to Nokia's Vertu phones and these diamond, gold plate thingies) and is reachable to people that dont own a yacht(loving my 8600!). 8600 costs about the same as N95 and N95 classic has been sold at least over 6 millions. Anybody struggling with their house payments and buys +1000 dollar phone should be living under a bridge . =D
