hmmm, no question that DCM does lay out "strict requirements" for all phone lines they carry, as do AU and SoftBank, but it is relatively easy to distinguish the different manufacturers offerings. In fact recently the manufacturers have all been pushing their brand thru naming schemes like Viera (Panasonic), Sony had released a Bravia handset and Sharp continues with the Aquos.
I would have thought DCM would've taken notice of SoftBank strong rise in popularity, due to both aggressive pricing but also a diverse handset selection~
