It's crazy enough that AT&T offers
Samsung's a737 slider in four wild colors -- red, lime, orange, and blue -- but apparently, that's not nearly enough. Who knew? We've heard that the phone is about to get done up in hot pink, electric blue, white, and purple, so just sit tight if you like the phone but didn't like (inexplicably, may we add) any of the current color choices.
[Thanks, Kal]

I bought this phone last thanksgiving when they were having their 50% off sale. I picked it up for $25, then asked for a rebate form, filled it out then last month got a rebate visa card in the mail with $50 on it. Easiest $25 I ever made.

yes, that was a great price! ive wondered if i shouldve gone for that deal too. how do u like the phone?
ECG @ Mar 2nd 2008 11:14PM
I mainly bought it for the deal, and to replace my Razr V3. It's a decent midrange phone for the price, the 1.3MP camera isn't the greatest, I don't use the internet on it much but it has 3G and it's pretty fast if you have 3G coverage in your area. I don't text a lot, the keys are pretty flat but there are ridges between the rows. The battery life is pretty good it'll stay in standby for almost a week if you dont talk. It has a microSD slot, stereo bluetooth and music playback. I haven't had any problems with the sliding motion. All in all I would say its a great phone for the money and good for people who use their phone mostly to talk, text and sometimes the internet.

i have this phone and it has the worst reception issues i've ever encountered. from what i've read, Samsung phones have RF issues and this one clearly does. my main gripe about this phone is if you lose a signal (which happens in many places where other phones dont), it takes it from a minute to 2-3 minutes for it to reconnect after you've entered coverage (in my case, when I get off of the elevator at work).

yep, this is why as a sales rep i really try to avoid selling samsung's...although i've had fewer complaints about this phone and the blackjack 2 than the other samsung's. but they really need to get their act together, i know a ton of reps that have quit recommending them and that can't be good for business

I bought two of these for my wife and I last month from Costco for $0.00 after instant rebate with a bunch of accessories thrown in. I got the $15 all-you-can-eat mediaNet plan add-on for mine. I think it is a very good phone, but then again the last time I upgraded my phone previously was almost 3 years ago. I wish the screen was a little bit sharper. And I have some issues with the music player, but overall I like it. It has basically replaced my old phone and my iPod mini. It isn't as good as the iPod, but it is good enough that I don't want to carry two devices around with me anymore. I was going to use the iPod exclusively in my car, but them I discovered that with WinAmp remote (Orb) and unlimited 3G internet on this phone, I am carrying my entire music collection around with me everywhere I go.
