Previously rumored for a March 5th release, we've been tipped that
T-Mobile's WiFi-equipped, Hotspot @Home-capable BlackBerry 8820 appears to have been pushed back (at least, that's what we'd take "TBD" to mean where March 5 used to appear). Sadly, delays are more the rule than the exception in this industry, so we're anything but taken aback if it turns out to be true. We'll keep you in the loop as we hear more.
[Thanks, Dave]

I wonder if T-Mobile is waiting for the OS 4.5 release so they can put it on the phone out of the gate. If so that would be great for T-Mo users but as an ATT user I want my 4.25 OS NOW.

What about the 8120?

So this phone is going to have both Wi-Fi as well as GPS?! I thought RIM wasn't putting to 2 together in any phone (each carrier was going to have separate models for each - e.g.: 8310 vs. 8320)

That may be the case for the Curves, but not the 88xx series. The 8820 on AT&T is a WiFi + GPS unit.

Right now, I'm waiting for these prices to come down.

Thanks, but it's not like I'm afraid of spending money (I own an E90 for chrissakes), but rather that I'm sick of paying premium prices. Plus I don't really want T-Mobile or the contracts.
But I'll keep you tabbed.

Any word when the BB 8820 will be available for purchase on T-MO?

Rumor I've heard is the new launch date for this is march 24th. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and my eye on the t-mo website until then.
