Aside from the
N96, Nokia also rolled out the
6220 classic and
6210 Navigator sets this week at Mobile World Congress. Both of these sets while fairly vanilla in design pack huge piles of features under the hood, from a 5 megapixel camera on the 6220 to GPS and Nokia Maps 2.0 on the 6210. Both retail in the high $400 range, but if you're looking for a new set to fiddle with, either could fit the bill quite nicely.

Can someone explain to me why you'd want the Navigator for $400 instead of going all N96 on your self & get a bigger screen w/ the exact same functionality.
Until this gets a Sirf chip I have to say my N95 8gb's GPS isn't going to replace my Tomtom One anytime soon.

The 6210 comes with a full license of Nokia Maps. It can work without a sim card. I think all the Nokia GPS phones have GPS II chips.

not GPS II chips, SIRF II chips

Also, I'm hearing it comes with a car mount. That's like a $75 value to buy it separately.

Car mount's interesting, but sirf 2 to 3 is a world of difference. Minutes to look v 30 or so seconds is just no comparison when you're getting into your car & want to go somewhere.

Or maybe because N96 will cost $800 at launch vs $400 for 6220
