Check the articles on the leaks of Z12 and Texel.. I found it clean, informative and even a bit cheerful for Moto. But that they dared to show up with those crap phones really let me down. What is wrong with this company? If they already have ONE Skarven and ONE Texel units... they should have showed them off .. even if they were protos or a bit flawed.. This was an international event, to show what they did is even an insult.

Dmatt

Comments on Motorola's pathetic MWC showing: Z6w, W161, and W181

I´m just considering that this journalist/analyst Thomas Ricker, should be more carefull with the company itself, and with all its employees, that are working 24/7 to recover its troubled company. This is BUSINESS. There is competition. There's no room for emotion or patience. The market is not patient. The market doesn't care about the families of the motorola employees. Motorola has to meet the demands of the market and they are failing to do that. Seriously a BLACK AND WHITE display?! If moto is having trouble, don't blame it on a writer that just tells the truth; blame it on moto. They have brought this on themselves. Nokia was having hard times, but they seem to be making a come back. Moto may be able to do the same thing, but it's not OUR job to be nice and keep them in business until then. Survival of the fittest my friend. Compete of fade away. That's reality. Black and white display!? They deserve to go bankrupt for that. That's ridiculous.

Henry

Comments on Motorola's pathetic MWC showing: Z6w, W161, and W181

though i'd never buy a moto phone, i like to see as many manufacturer's out there pushing the limit. moto has had one breakthrough that they tried pushing for way too many years. this is unfortunate.

Jonyah

Comments on Motorola's pathetic MWC showing: Z6w, W161, and W181

Dear Henry

Your words are typical of our times. But if the waters of the market's flood touch your bottom your opinions would certainly change. Nokia just combined N95+N81 = N96 (must be new math), and its viewed as one the greatest phones of the show. Even tho its over $700 and STILL no touchscreen? (yep, great innovation there).

The only company that has shown anything new & desirable sofar, IMHO, is SE. That is of course, if the released X1 actually lives up to the show hype. This is Sony were talking about.

btw- I know a lot of people who would love just a phone. No need to blame henry with flood of market. I think he is right. Business is business. In business, there is just one thing to pursue; Market! If we always think about family and person behind the company, technology wouldn't increase. World wouldn't grow up. General Motors will have won from Toyota in early 19th century. And Six Sigma would not exist. :)

Tapir Laci

Comments on Motorola's pathetic MWC showing: Z6w, W161, and W181

moto is certainly going down the drain, but i have to say i like the z6w. wifi, a sleek slider and quadband. all thats left is 3g, but i dont really need that right now.

narutouzumaki16
