Nokia E51, now sans camera
Business folk tend to like cameras on their phones a lot less than the rest of us do, owing in no small part to the fact that a lot of companies really don't like their employees trolling around with intellectual property-stealing devices in tow. We can understand that -- RIM has a pretty good grip on the concept, too -- and now Nokia has introduced a cam-free variant of its biz-oriented E51 S60 candybar. It comes in at €100 less (about $147) than the original version, making it a great deal for people that either don't want or can't have the shooter on board, and all the other features carry over. Look for it in the next few weeks for €250 (about $368).

Any idea as to why they included only umts 850 and not 1900? i suppose i can't complain but still...COME ON!!

For the Australian market.
Their "3G" networks operate on 850mhz, not the combined 850 and 1900 we have here.
But I agree, why not just add the extra band while you're at it so you can offer it [without caveats] anywhere.

I just got a black steel E51 for 299 USD. I've seen another place carry it for 275 USD plus shipping. I'm really happy with it but I want to keep my N80 until Opera Mobile works properly.

Is this a joke ? The E51 without camera ? I am very interested, so I inquired at Nokia, Belgium and the reaction is "does not exists" ! Where can it be bought ?
