Although Motorola's market share has been steadily sliding to the delight of Nokia and Samsung,
DigiTimes would have you believe that Moto reigns supreme in the global Windows Mobile Smartphone segment. Citing "internal data from Microsoft," the oft-wrong, occasionally correct tattle-rag claims that HTC's share of the
WinMo Standard space has declined leaving Moto with the largest market share -- beating Samsung by, "a small margin." This after HTC saw a 50% Smartphone domination during Microsoft's Jul 2006 - Jul 2007 fiscal year. HTC still maintains a 50% market share for WinMo Professional touch-screen devices. Of course, this could be true. After all, Moto has refocused their attention to high-margin, full-featured handsets at the expense of emerging markets and entry level yawners. And you can't swing an HTC Vox without knocking over a dozen Qs. Still, until we hear otherwise, take this rumor with a quarry-sized load of rock salt.

Damn shame because as someone who has had a Q and a Blackjack, but also had a Vox, Dash, Cavalier, 2125, 3125, and an SDA I have to say out of personal experience HTC makes a much better smartphone, with better build quality, better keyboards, and better battery lives.
What really stinks is I currently have a TyTn II and everyone who sees it loves the phone but quickly asks who is HTC?
Poor HTC, the biggest smartphone/pocket pc engineer in the world that no one seems to have heard of.

and also doesnt give two shits about their customers!

ugh I am sick of that argument as well, HTC never promised imageon drivers for their devices. Everyone assumed a feature of a chipset they used would have to be used on the devices.
The LG KS20 and the two new Toshiba devices G910, G920 use the same chipset, everyone just wait for those devices to surface with no imageon drivers to be found.
HTC may not care about their customers as much as you would like, but for the record I cant think of a single company that does.

Kyle, but there are hardware-accelerated ATI drivers for the KS20. It's been found in the ROM dumps.
People DON'T CARE about Imageon drivers. What people want is their hell-expensive latest gen device to not suck versus last gen and older, and it's all because HTC decided it's fine to run their latest devices in video SAFE mode.

I am sure we will see lot more new smartphones from Moto on Symbian OS at the MWC (AKA 3GSM) which starts on Monday.
