Sprint is pushing people to the more spectrum efficient CDMA, thats true, but they are not discouraging people from getting Nextel. However, they are releasing more POWERVISION phones that do EVDO Data, CDMA Voice and iDEN DirectConnect, so its hard to actually be precise when people say now a days they have Nextel.
