Palm's GSM Centro spotted in white

Yeah, there it is, a shiny white Palm Centro in a booth for all to see, I'm sure Palm will be ever so delighted about this. Apparently an accessory vendor put it out to display some of its wares on the show floor and the gents at TreoCentral were there to catch it live. Adding insult to this slip up is that fact that the handset is a GSM model that you see there my friends, and interestingly it is different then the AT&T branded Centro we saw a while back. More on this as soon as we can get our grubby mitts on it.

It is different than even the RECENT pictures of the white AT&T branded Centro:

And why are the silver buttons so tiny on the CES one? That has to be a pre-production model.

Interesting find; I think you're right.

he has to be right. it friggen says "treo" on it
Chimuel @ Jan 9th 2008 5:15PM
Hmmm... why does it say Treo? You shouldn't call it a Centro when the
device itself has Treo on it.

Even the Sprint Centro is technically the Treo 690. What else should we call this phone for now? The NE2-6299?

Wow...what an ugly device, sorry but palm takes another step back with this device. What happened to all these break through devices that were supposed to come out? Ive worked for AT&T for over 2 years and palm at one point was a pretty hot phone, the past 6 months our sales on palms have declined alot. Palm get with the times, or apple or rim will remove you from the wireless industry.
