I said it was unacceptable and I refuse to pay the rate increase. Also it states that in the customer agreement that I have 60 days to refuse and cancel my contract termination fee free. They really didn't argue and did as I asked.

"I left Verizon a few months ago and received a letter basically saying, "Are you sure you actually meant to leave? Maybe you left us for another carrier by accident. Pretty please come back to us, and we'll forgive the ETF." I was half tempted to write them back and tell them where to shove it, but in your case perhaps you'll get a similar letter and can rejoin, and then cancel again later. I am a wireless network guy and there is only one real reason why people are forced to keep verizon...

Everyone hates verizon. They have horrible phones... horrible battery life... they cripple every new feature... and they are the most expensive.

like EVERY company won't be following suit in the following months

as far as contracts go, unless you just complain a lot and they deam it not worth thier time, this is not a get out of jail free card. I loved it last time how people got out of sprint becaus eof text uppage, and they moved to verizon who upped it a few weeks later. expect the same to follow with this uppage as well.
