Pink Centro coming to Sprint early next year?
With a red Centro already out the door, it's certainly possible (even likely) that Palm has a pink one all lined up to follow suit, but we'll still have to treat this latest pic with the usual grain of salt until we hear something official from the company itself. If SprintUsers forum member TheRobin is to be believed, however, the image above is in fact the real pink Centro, which has been rumored to be on track for a release on Sprint sometime in January of February. If that is indeed the case, we should be able to put all these rumors to rest soon enough.

I am the same 'TheRobin' that posted that. User 'rofl' posted it first. It's definitely legit.
I'm not sure why you question the possibility of a pink Centro being released at all. The SKU for it has been listed in Sprint stores for months.

I just ordered a red Centro, and now a pink one is coming! Oh well. I wanted to hop on the free messaging promotion that expires today, and I can always exchange my phone for the pink one if the pink one goes on sale in January. :-)
Palm really does seem to be aiming the Centro at women, almost exclusively so. It's nice to see women featured in Palm ads instead of the usual young white male professional, but they're running the risk of alienating male buyers who, for whatever reason, need a "man's mobile." But hey, maybe that's how Palm plans to convince people to spend three times as much for a Treo with the same features. :-D
And robinsmad, don't take it personally. It's not like they're questioning you specifically - they're just serving it with "the usual grain of salt" that they include with anything non-official. And it's not like they could know what SKUs have been in Sprint's systems for months now. A pink Centro makes a lot of sense, but it's not official, so it still could be canceled or delayed. Hell, Palm's been known to cancel compelete, ready-to-ship products (RIP Foleo), so...

I didn't take it personally. But several gadget blogs are crediting me, and I don't care to steal anyone's thunder.

Wowee a pink Centro! Sprint's fingers are right on the pulse of today's consumer!
Ooooh, a pink phone! Sprint, you always know how to woo customers, another fine job.
Memo to Palm, build something as great or greater than the iPhone or you're all just wasting our time. Put down the the injection molded plastic color swatch for a minute and pick up the phone to R and D and see if they need some help, pronto.

Yeah, Palm had a sku for the Pink Centro in their system since before the Centro hit the streets.
But don't let anyone know I told you, I got fired last time I revealed that sort of information.
Fuck Palm, those elitist fucking pigs. They can't even release a worth while device.

I think the pink Centro will be popular. After all, the Centro's all about tempting people who haven't used a smartphone before (it's like the Wii of smartphones!), and how many pink smartphones are there?
The pink Centro will definitely catch some attention, and that's all a new color is really supposed to do. Not everything has to be revolutionary. I agree that Palm OS is dated, but come on, people. Its not like this is some super-hyped Treo 900 or anything that we've been waiting for forever that turned out to be a huge letdown. This is just a new color for Palm's consumer smartphone, and that's all it's supposed to be.
It's not like a pink Centro is all of Palm's attention away from their next Treo or their Linux OS or anything. It might, however, help them afford to make those things. And for that, even the most jaded Palm fan should be thankful. :-)

i think the pink centro is ugly. I have a red one and was just about to exchange it for a pink one but decided against it when i saw it... the red one is the most prettiest...hopefully they come up with more nicer colors. I want a white one, like ATT has.
