Evidence grows for US Nokia N95 8GB
A mention on Nokia's own interweb not enough to convince you that the North American rendition of the N95 8GB is real? Between the larger display, cool black case, and 8GB of integrated storage, Nokia could end up swiping another several hundred dollars from a decent chunk of original US N95 buyers which we figure is enough convincing for Espoo's bean counters, but it's not good enough for you, eh? How about a major retailer boldly taking orders, then? MobileCityOnline is so convinced that the N95 8GB will get redone with HSDPA 850 / 1900 that it has begun taking preorders with an estimated ship date of February 15, making it a lovely belated Valentine's Day gift -- if it actually exists, that is.[Thanks, Pdexter]

Please go to our site and give us a call and ask for Shawn. I think we can do some business together.

I'll bother replacing my N95-3 ONLY if the 8GB comes out with WCDMA 1700 (T-Mobile)
namtastic @ Dec 28th 2007 11:11AM
Yah, adding 1700 is the only reason I'd choose this over the N95-3 right now.

This is the only reason why I haven't bothered getting this phone. I've been waiting a LONG ass time for this phone to work with 1700MHz Tmobile 3G. Once they do, I would buy the phone so fast....
I refuse to switch to Cingular just to use this phone. Shit, I'm still rocking my Nokai 3650. Been using this phone for five, going on six years.

OMG NOKIA please, just include an 8gb microSD card instead an all black slightly larger screen N95-3 with REMOVABLE STORAGE is better than built in storage.

its on nokias website?

I'm glad at least someone else sees what I'm seeing.
I will believe it when I see it. A shady online store trying to get pre orders is the first to announce this? I sure hope this is true, at least for mco's sake.
Matt @ Dec 28th 2007 11:45AM
I know it's a bad idea to depend on online store for release dates but mobilecityonline is not a shady place by all means. Their selection is quite good AND they don't sell devices with altered product codes. One of the places I bought Nokia 6680 from advertised that they can get any language user desires. The only way to do so for a store is to play around with the product code on the phone (all Nokia geeks know how to do this) and then the phone will pull the firmware with the appropriate language. No store on earth has a legitimate device with any language buyer picks. Mobilecityonline advertises and delivers good products and prices. I bought my N95-3 from them and could not been happier. Right after I purchased N95-3 I asked about N82...it was on preorder but the guy I dealt with told me, they did not have eta for it...a week later it was in stock but I decided to hold off this time hoping that Nokia will release US version with T-Mobile 3G. Don't cuss at them if you have not tried their service.
nokia for life @ Dec 28th 2007 2:50PM
But I have read plenty about them. Wouldn't send my worst enemy to them.
They are false advertising also. Those aren't the real black and white n82's. If I came across that web site and ordered the white one thinking it would look like that, and it didn't, I would be quite pissed.
That just shows how pathetic of a company they are. Just fishing for orders because they can't wait to do it the right way.

Well, I don't know about Mobile City, but I bought a N95 8GB on Ebay and on the box it said:
GSM 850/1900/1800/900 UMTS 850/2100
I am assuming this should work in the US 3G because 850MHz is the 3G band on AT&T. Also, I have seen other (European) N95 8GB boxes and they only mentioned UMTS 2100.
