We're not exactly certain how a clip of Andrew Meyer politely asking the University of Florida cops to refrain from Tasing him ended up on Verzion's ringback tone web shop, but you know a million phone lines just got that much more annoying.
[Thanks, Yamin]

okay? What does it sound like?
Omagus @ Dec 10th 2007 4:55PM
Dude. Seriously?
elgee02 @ Dec 10th 2007 5:01PM
Hahahahahaha, wow...
I just went to www.vzw.com/rbt and did a title search for "don't tase me bro" and sure enough there it was... I would piss too many callers off if I got that as my ringbacktone but that's still hilarious.
The D Train @ Dec 10th 2007 5:06PM
It truely is... Epic.

If you like that- you'll love my upcoming ringtones featuring LA cops beating people up, cries from injured animals & *coming soon* war crimes sounds feat. Pol Pot (aka Brother Number One).
Seriously. Something's wrong w/ people who want to have a sound come up on their phone that signifies 50k volts are about to be put into someone for protesting.

I'm a VZW sales rep, and this makes me want to cancel my line and switch back to T-Mobile. Not funny at all. This is in such poor taste, it blows my mind. That video should make everyone's blood boil.
Eric @ Dec 10th 2007 9:19PM
waaa.
I'm with snowenloe, this is funny as hell.
elgee02 @ Dec 10th 2007 10:27PM
Dude how about you try growing a pair?
VZW isn't offering this ringbacktone because they think it's funny, they are doing it because Andrew Meyer is letting VZW pay him (and donating some of that to charity none the less) for it so VZW can offer yet another ringbacktone for consumers.
How the bloody hell is it in poor taste when the bro who was tased is the one allowing it?
Scott @ Dec 10th 2007 11:41PM
I spoke before I had the facts. I still miss T-Mo and GSM phones, though.

from theandrewmeyer.com:
"Yes, there's a ring tone
As of today, you can now buy "Don't Tase Me, Bro" ringtones.
In the hopes of preserving my ideals while making this money, I have decided to donate a portion of the ringtone proceeds to a charity. I haven't yet decided what charity. E-mail me with some worthy causes, and I will pick a winner on Dec. 25.
Merry Christmas, you filthy animals.
-Andrew"

"Don't Tase me, bro!"
Andrew @ Dec 10th 2007 7:43PM
hahaah this is the best... I already have it as a ringtone though... that guy is a piece of work...
snowenloe @ Dec 10th 2007 8:20PM
Awesome! I'm amazed that more of you people don't have even a small sense of humor. This is funny as hell. Don't you think he is going to make money on this? Verizon surely can't use his voice and name without his consent. *I just realized that Andrew Meyer himself commented on this already.* If the one who was tasered can laugh at himself, why can't I? Way to go bro.
JonnyBruha @ Dec 10th 2007 11:51PM
People pay for ringtones?
elgee02 @ Dec 11th 2007 10:56AM
Well this is in regards to a ringBACKtone, the ones that others hear when they call you. If you know how to get free ringbacktones please share!!!
Winston @ Dec 11th 2007 7:03PM
This guy is another example of someone trying to be a Webcelebrity. This fool was not trying to make a statement or stand up for some righteous cause, he wanted a taste of that "15 minutes of fame" (Andy Warhol(TM)). Some of you don't find this just slightly disingenous that he's making money off the damn thing??? He says, paraphrasing "I've decided to donate a PORTION to charity, email me and I will pick a winner". Are you kidding me?? If your ideals are so important then why don't you donate ALL of it to the charity that you believe in, not one that is the "winner". Anyone who feels bad for this guy, just remember he's being "tased" all the way to the bank and laughing it up.

This is not that kid..any Dane Cook fan would know it's him. Check out his most recent live album and you'll see what i'm talking about. VZW is not dumb enough to set up something like this. It would be a lawsuit waiting to happen.
