I know this is a noob question, but since verizon has chosen LTE as their 4g, does this mean that eventually they'll support GSM along with CDMA (like sprint with CDMA and iDEN)? Will they convert to GSM in the far future, or Will they not need to convert to GSM at all to support LTE?

It seems CDMA will still be used for Voice but LTE for data. EVDO will probably stop being rolled out.
