iPhone international: Apple schedules iPhone workshop in Canada; O2 scraps limited-unlimited data
Oh, and that not-so-"unlimited" data the iPhone was getting in the UK on O2? Turns out that apparently the carrier's reversed its decision to cap iPhone users' data at a mere 100-200MB, apparently stating, "There is no limit on the monthly network usage. However if we feel that your activities are so excessive that other customers are detrimentally affected, we may give you a written warning (by email or otherwise)." We're not really sure what the fuss is about, O2's rolling out a legacy EDGE network specifically for the use of iPhone users, why fuss over a device that can't be (easily) tethered to a laptop and has slow-ass EDGE data and quick WiFi?

i wonder if its a requirement to have an iphone for the workshop...im guessing not and im not really planning on buying one but itd be fun to play with for a bit...just wondering about whether or not youre supposed to already be an owner b/c it says 'your' new iphone as if you already have it
either way im signing up lol

It seems Apple has already removed the event listing. Does that mean it was just an error, or does that mean we've seen the future and Canada IS finally getting the iPhone?!

Rogers refused the iPhone.
Apple said no to Rogers co-branding, and Rogers said no to unlimited data and sharing the subscriber revenue.
At least that's the rumor I hear from Rogers people.

APPLE DID NOT REMOVE FROM THE CALANDER HOWEVER IS NOT ON THE MAIN SCREEN AND IS HAVING THE WORKSHOP EVERY SATURDAY FOR THE NEXT 5 SATURDAYS(INCLUDING nov.3)... STILL CURIOUS...

(http://www.apple.com/ca/retail/eatoncentre/month/200711-ws.html) YOU WILL NOTICE THAT IT HAS BEEN REMOVED HOW EVER IF YOU CLICK ON THE DROP DOWN BOX JUST TO THE TOP LEFT OF THE CALENDER AND CLICK ON WORKSHOP, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO SEE THE WORKSHOP IS STILL THERE.
