They're still miles away from
T-Mobile's ridiculously cheap $10 for unlimited BlackBerry email, but Verizon's trying to reach out to a more personal, consumer-based audience as it preps to launch
its own Pearl with a new data pricing structure of its own. Unlimited web and email will run you $29.99 when purchased with a voice plan, $34.99 without, offering support for up to ten POP3 and IMAP accounts. Again, T-Mobile's got these cats beat hands-down if saving dinero is the priority -- but then again, Verizon takes the cake for total coverage area and, of course, 3G speed. Pick your poison.

Any hope of Verizon sharing the discounted data love to the rest of us non-blackberry toting users? Seems unfair not to...

Agreed - I would love to see that plan with the other smart phones.

When I spoke to VZW today, unless I understood wrong the $29.99 data plan was for only 10mb/month
Downsouth821 @ Nov 1st 2007 6:27PM
The reason she said that is because this plan will launch with the pearl not now. So she probaly didnt know what you was talking about.

Where is this deal? Its not anywhere on verizon's site yet is it?
Mr. Brett @ Nov 1st 2007 4:59PM
you are mistaken. its 29.99 for unlimited data.
Jonathon @ Nov 1st 2007 11:32PM
Thanks Mr Brett, all changed on my plans

Seems to me a mention of Sprint's upcoming 30.00 Power Vision Blackberry Package, which includes Unlimited SMS, data, email, and LBS (Sprint Navigation) might be in order as well, if we're talking about recently-discounted BB services.
mongoos150 @ Nov 1st 2007 6:47PM
I sure hope Verizon will release a similar plan to Sprint, offering that $29.99 unlimited package WITH unlimited VZW navigator and SMS. I doubt it, but I'd love to see it.
BennyBoy @ Nov 2nd 2007 6:07PM
So how does this apply to using the BB Pearl as a modem? I think it is an additional $15 monthly. Is that still the case?
D @ Nov 2nd 2007 2:39PM
$30 for what? I like the customer service and coverage of Verizon but their prices are too much of a premium over the competition. I'm seriously eyeing T-Mobile when my contract is up.
Kristen @ Nov 3rd 2007 12:59PM
Is Verizon only going to carry silver in the Pearl?
Chino @ Nov 6th 2007 5:01PM
Sounds like VZW is lauching this $10 a month plan for fools like me that don't need/want data plans but primarily want to use the pearl as a texting/pda/phone device.
Alex @ Nov 14th 2007 5:13PM
If I get the blackberry pearl for verizon, am I forced to get the data plan also?
