Specifications of Verizon's LG Voyager outed
Counting down the hours until the Voyager makes an appearance on Verizon? If so, here's something sure to tide you over. Apparently, the handset's datasheet has made its way onto the intarweb, and it's got just about every detail you could ever want -- save for a price and pinpointed release date, of course. Highlights include a 2.81-inch external touchscreen, VibeTouch tactile feedback support, V CAST Mobile TV, dual integrated speakers, a two-megapixel camera, microSD expansion slot and VZ Navigator preloaded. If you've undoubtedly got this one on your must-have list, hit the read link and eat your heart out.

Sadly my annual upgrade doesn't roll around till March so I'll have to wait another 4 months for this little slice of touch/qwerty heaven.

I am looking forward to the Voyager as well but I am in the same boat as you and have to wait till March. Cash in on that "New every Two"

I'm really, really excited about this one. Apparently I'm not the only one... the Verizon Voyager Forum already has 132 members gushing about everything LG Voyager... and it hasn't even come out yet!
The day it comes out... I may just take the day off to play with my new toy - hehe.

Looks are deceiving, or could be. What you are not seeing or reading about is how the GUI is really going to look and just what is VZW going to lock down? After Verzion was sued by NYS for misleading / false advertising about unlimited data plans I'd be very hesitant to sign up with them and than get a huge data bill or my data turned off. LG makes solid products, its just Verizon's control freakish GUI and buy this and that in order to do what other devices do for free, or you could hack it. :-)
elgee02 @ Nov 1st 2007 12:18PM
That unlimited data lawsuit was only related to people using VZW's PC Broadband cards... if you can seriously rack up 5 gigs up data on a non PDA then mister you are a better man than I.

It could have been an early version, but the Voyager I played with didn't have anything close to the UI pictured above. Plus it's kinda hefty.

After reading the Verizon Voyager forum, I think I am depressed as i was hoping for more functionalty. I have been out of contract for nearly eight months and I can't find a PDA style phone good enough to give up my contract free status. I was hoping the Centro would be good as I already have a Palm TX but it is tiny, slippery and probably doesn't have virtual keyboard. The Voyager is ideally sized but with the Verizon OS, it can't take third party apps and the pricing plans in my area don't seem to made for web browsing use - just texting and email. Verizon has already told that their web mobile on their phones (as opposed to web browser on the Treos) it is not real web browing but very limited access. the only other options are the Iphone and the Tilt at At7T. Any thoughts?
elgee02 @ Nov 2nd 2007 2:15AM
This one is full HTML, and it's unlimited for $15 a month. You're welcome.
richard @ Nov 9th 2007 3:12PM
it says full html, but what exactly does that mean. it might still use mobile web. thats one thing i have to see to believe
daadco @ Nov 19th 2007 1:22PM
