I played with both this and the tilt.  This is quicker then the tilt but the tilt has a nicer keyboard.  The two aren't even direct comeptitors but still I had to say it.  Personally my iphone kills em both style and function wise.  Much quicker.  It had a solid feel to it though. I am an employee for at&t and i personally own the duo. There is a setting you can change to get the phone to answer when it is slid open. Settings - phone - call options - check any key answer. This will in turn answer calls when the slide is opened. I was unable to find an option however to end calls by sliding the slide shut.
