Sony Ericsson W910 gets the hands-on treatment

We saw one of the newer editions in Sony Ericsson's Walkman line at CTIA today, the thin and lovely W910. We've seen this fella here and there, so we won't rehash what's under the hood, but suffice it to say we're suitably impressed. Oh, we're also happy to report that the loud bang we'd heard mentioned while opening the slide didn't seem to affect this unit.

i had one of these and sold it on after just two days. having owned an n95 previously it certainly felt like a downgrade. the text messaging is flabby and becomes really laggy when you try and text and listen to an mp3 at the same time. trying to play h.264 which the n95 could handle easily played at less than 1/2 speed on this device. so for 'under the hood', i'd guess not much!

Of course it's going to be a downgrade from a N95, it's half the price of the N95 at launch.

I have had this phone for 3 days. Despite what the beau says, this phone is a joy to use.
I found it to be better than the N95, certainly a better UI.
The N95 is big and clunky..
The w910i is excellent.

i had the chance to play with one in work today, but couldn't figure out the shake feature thingy. am i being dense or mixing up my models?

A common problem - you have to *hold* the Walkman button in while you shake ;)

I bought the W910i new...but there seems to be a problem with it...after it being on for a few seconds, it switches itself off and then on again...but it just repeats this process until the battery dies. Th shop won't give me my money back and from what i can gather it isn't a battery problem. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what do i have to do to fix it?!
