Meizu's MiniOne M8 GUI showcased further, still devoid of originality
If you had even a sliver of faith left in Meizu that it would change its copycatting ways and turn its heart to creativity, you're probably feeling quite foolish right about now. In a recent posting made to showcase even more interface shots of the MiniOne M8, we got a glimpse at the not at all familiar music interface, more insight on the calling screens and a few more looks (shown after the jump) at how it'll handle messaging. Needless to say, we can just swear we've seen a similar GUI before, but apparently, playing the ignorance card makes it easier to swallow. Oh, and the actual phone now sports a "new edge" with a somewhat grayish motif -- enthralling, we know.

seriously? are u kidding me? they cant wait 5 months for an original? why arent they being sued or bankrupt or something? they are so screwed next year when the iPhone comes out there. i mean, does it even do anything more than what the iphone does?

If this thing has decent third party app support,(and English) I'd trade my iPhone for it. It'd be a lot less hassle with the same features!

Yeah, its so obvious....that REALLY looks like Windows Media Player 11. I can't believe anyone would copy it in a phone....

well if this i-clone runs windows mobile or windows ce then the player better resemble its desktop counterpart. i would get it if microsoft surface was used as an answer to the multi-touch the iphone has. i would rather use a windows handheld versus an apple-based phone; although the iphone is awesome. i dont know too much about this company nor do i know its credibility but i woudl get it either way. my friend has an iphone and syncing it with itunes(horrible software) sucks hardcore. i like apple but i still think windows is king. microsoft will get it right one of these days...

Copycat or not, if it still has a 720x480 display there's only one question to ask: How much?

I may be the only one that thinks this, but if someone told me to design a GUI for a phone that had no buttons and was touchscreen capable only I think that this would be what it would look like. I know it looks like the iPhones but what is it supposed to look like. with not buttons. I think HTC did a pretty good job with the FLO "Cube" but there is not a whole lot to do if it has no buttons

At least it's unlocked!!! (although the quality may suck)

So... do patents and copyright not exist in China?
