On track for a
late October launch? Sure looks like it. We've caught wind that retail locations are starting to stock up on Pantech Duo dummies, suggesting that they'll be prepping for launch any day now. Between this, the Q9 Global, the Blackjack II, the Tilt, and the 5700, it looks like anyone complaining about a lack of Windows Mobile devices on AT&T by the end of the year... well, needs to find a real issue.

Why doesn't the screen re-orientate when keyboard slides out?
L @ Oct 10th 2007 3:08PM
Because it's a dummy?
bethel03 @ Oct 10th 2007 3:24PM
...you dummy...
Mike @ Oct 10th 2007 3:29PM
It does.
You also can't slide both keyboards out at the same time.

This is missing the number pad that made my 8525 and makes my Tilt less than fun to dial on whilst driving.
Richard @ Oct 10th 2007 6:01PM
I meant:
This HAS the number pad that would make driving and dialing with the aforementioned HTC products a safer experience.

Nice. How are Pantech phones though? I've never had any experience with them.

So will Verizon EVER release a Windows Mobile 6 phone? I'm about to make the switch to AT&T...
gblandon @ Oct 11th 2007 9:05AM
Do it, Scott. I left Verizon two weeks ago and am now in AT&T heaven! It's so nice not to be nickel-and-dimed for features and to be able to do anything I want with my own damn phone without Verizon crippling its features. HSDPA also seems WAY faster than EVDO.

Verizon released a WinMo6 phone a month before AT&T got their first one out...

Ok guys after actually having the chance to play with this device it is pretty cool! Could be better but it is pantech
Kunikos @ Oct 12th 2007 5:56PM
The Duo isn't a Professional / touch-screen is it?
Clasifyd @ Oct 18th 2007 7:33AM
Nope, no touch screen.
The keyboard on the dummy also feel... less than fun... And the corrugated border around the screen looks kinda cheap... butI'm really looking forward to getting my hands on the live version.

I just ordered this phone yesterday and should get it any day now.
I'm really excited but I heard pantech kinda sucks.... Does anyone has anything negative to say about pantech? Let me know.
nick @ Oct 31st 2007 1:26AM
i am excited for this phone. it will be fairly thick as it is a triple layer cake, the dimensions ive heard compare to the sidekick as far as thickness but not as long or wide. i hope its got internal gps too that would be an amazing feature

I'm in El Cajon. Where can I buy this phone without selecting a plan? Any stores have it at the regular price?
