E-Ten's Glofiish M800: a better X800 with QWERTY
As we noted back in March, the only thing missing from E-Ten's quad-band GSM, UMTS/HSDPA, and GPS packing Glofiish X800 was the QWERTY. No more. Meet the Glofiish M800, ready to throw down with the best that HTC has to offer when it hits Europe in late November / early December for about €599 (nearly $850) pre-subsidy. For that you get all the best of the X800 -- WinMo 6 Professional on a VGA (480 x 640) touchscreen, SiRFstar III GPS, HSDPA data, standard 2.5-mm audio jack -- but with a beefier 500MHz processor and 1530mAh battery and suit-tacular QWERTY in tow. Without a doubt, a worthy contender... on paper anyway.

Damn....this looks great, I hope it lands in Europe!

I got tired of waiting for this (or x800) to come out and got the 8925. Though the x800 is thinner and has FM radio and faster processor, they just way too long to release information since the x800 was FCC Approved for months now.

Wow, this phone rules. Probably no US 3G bands, though. Sigh. If it did, this would be my next phone, AT&T or not. VGA FTW!

Judging from the X800, this may actually have US 3G bands. I was so set on getting the Tilt but I am not so sure now. I currently have a JASJAR and after having VGA, it's hard to go back...

I have waited too long for the X800. and now the M800. Damn I have to get this when it lands. Do you guys know when the M800 is going to land in the states and where to buy?
diguto @ Oct 18th 2007 7:16AM
you can buy most of the ppcs at expansys!
it was sure that the M800 will follow, because eten always releases a version with keyboard a few weeks later - just remember the M700! So the fact that teh M800 will rise was sure since more than a half year.
I was counting the days too! It's a pitty that the X800 and the M800 only have a 2,5mm jack, 'cause in the very early anouncements they thought about 3,5mm.
