Samsung's dual-SIM DuoS D880
Dual-SIM handsets are a completely foreign concept in these parts, but in parts of Asia, they're a fairly common sight (three SIMs, though -- that's another story). Samsung's contributing its "DuoS" D880 slider to the fray, offering the capability to rock two SIMs from the same carrier or different carriers and switch seamlessly between the two for voice, data, and text functions. Sadly, the handset tops out at EDGE, though the other specs aren't half bad -- 3.2 megapixel cam, FM radio, stereo Bluetooth, et cetera -- and it looks alright, too. Look for it around a hefty $700 next month.

i think we will see this form factor appear again rocking higher speeds than EDGE. maybe enuf to put it onto helio, to replace the drift?
to be fair tho, in good conditions EDGE really isnt bad (AT&T)

i would love a dual sim phone. this way i can share minutes on a family plan with someone else and not have to carry two phones, or pop in a second sim when out the country. funny, b/c i've always wanted such a phone to share minutes with my cousin who has so many roll over minutes with AT&T that will probably never be used. this way i can also take advantage of the mobile to mobile minutes on 2 different networks and not use day time minutes when calling certain friends and family.
