While reports are slow to come in so far, Blogging Stocks is now reporting that RIM may possibly have yet another
outage on its hands, with at least some BlackBerry users in New York and Washington apparently getting nothing but a "data connection refused" error when they try to check their email. If it turns out to be of any size, this particular outage would be only the latest in a recent spate RIM has suffered -- and not even the first
in the past month. As always, if you're experiencing some problems of your own, feel free to sound off in comments, preferably with details on your location, carrier, etc.

My Yahoo and GMail accounts which are supposed to be instant are now experiencing a 20 minute or so delay.
Disappointing. They're becoming about as reliable as a Sidekick.

no issues here with Tmobile Milwaukee/Chicago Market.

I had a brief period this morning during which I received a "Data Connection Refused" message, but it also appeared that I had no EDGE connectivity at all. I chalked it up to an issue on AT&T's side, not RIM's. This is on an 8800 in Lincoln, NE, and it lasted about 20 minutes.

T-mobile/BIS/NYC area, sporadic e-mail overnight and into this morning with still lots of e-mails undelivered (AOL, GMail, and personal domain all the same). Receiving e-mail doing much worse than sending (I've been able to get e-mails out of my device albeit with large delays).

I dont understand at all yet how this gadget works, but since yesterday here in Santiago (Chile) our Movile Telephone company (ENTEL PCS www.entelpcs.cl) are having the same problemas with their EDGE network with the same error message in the top of the scrren :"Data Connection Refused". Is it RIM or Bleckberry network fault, or identical and the same time diferents situations ?

I live in NYC and had a buddy with this exact "data connection refused" error this morning.

No issues in Phoenix on Verizon. Must be isolated to something other than RIM.

I live in Washington State and have stopped receiving e-mail from my outlook service and am experiencign 10 minute delays on gmail emails. I work for microsoft and was told that the problems were occuring because of changes to exchange that have not been addressed by RIM. At first, i thought the company had blocked RIM services somehow due to competative nature of the products.
I have blackberry service on T-Mobile and i was on the phone with RIM for 2 hours yesterday and they never mentioned the outage.

Have AT&T LG CU500. Use in S. Florida and Washington DC. For last 2 days, no data at all with it in Wash DC. AT&T tech rep. says issue related to ticket TT000005422103 which has nationwide effect and supposed to effect both Edge and 3G data service. No Media Net and no Bluetooth tethered Laptop modem connection which sucks as I'm paying for their unltd. data plan.

My Nextel Blackberry 7100i went out yesterday October 13, 2007. I live in Baltimore , MD. I was told that my phone was dead because it had a JUM error 102 message on the screen. I was suspicious when I haven't received an email, text, istant message, or call in several hours yesterday.

Practically new Blackberry Curve came up with a JUM Error 102 and refuses to turn off. What is going on with this thing?
