Dopod C750 and HTC Juno one in the same?
Unless our eyes are being mighty deceitful, IT168's photos of the Dopod (HTC's consumer brand for Asia) C750 sure look an awful lot like the HTC Juno image we've already seen. Granted, there's no way to confirm this suggestion just yet, but it's hard to deny that the two form factors are eerily similar. According to a (very) rough translation, the C750 boasts a 2.6-inch VGA (640 x 480) display, Windows Mobile 6, a microSD expansion slot, USB connectivity and a built-in camera to boot. For those still skeptical, click on through for a few more looks.

This one looks like it is running WM6 standard edition, hence no touch screen. Also, it doesn't appear like VGA to me.

Dopod is HTC's subsidiary in Mainland China. No surprise at all.

Err, in case if you don't know. HTC owns some stakes in Dopod. And this is not the only HTC model that was rebadged under Dopod name. Other example includes : Dopod P800w (HTC Artemis), Dopod 577W (HTC Tornado), Dopod 818 (HTC Magician). Even O2 PDAs are actually rebranded HTC PDA -- O2 Neo (HTC Prophet), O2 XDA Trion (HTC Hermes).
Nothing surprising here :p

What an ugly keyboard layout (pretty much like BB Pearl)
Badonkadonk @ Sep 26th 2007 5:22PM
That would be SureType, which is licensed by RIM to other manufacturers, such as Samsung and evidently HTC.

What I like to see is the sure type keyboard. I'd like to see more Windows Mobile devices with that. Think I saw here a while ago a Samsung flip w/ that same type of keyboard.

This device only has a QVGA screen. Yes it IS indeed the Juno. I own one of these myself. It runs WM6 Standard - 201Mhz CPU - 256/128mb ram rom (yes it's twice what the wing and the dash have.) It is quad band with wifi and bluetooth 2.0 as well as a 2.0MP camera. The pictures are a bit deceiving, but it is almost the exact same size as the BB Pearl when closed up. Look for it on a US carrier very soon!

What a disappointment. Why make the decision to uglyfy it like that? Were the earlier images from BGR just too good looking for itself? I was planning on buying this phone, but not if it looks like that!
