Nokia brings threaded SMS to an S60 device near you
Being unable to view SMS in a threaded fashion on your S60 handset got ya down? Fret no more, messaging fiends, as Nokia Beta Labs has heard our cries. The so-called "Conversation" app should run on most phones that rock S60 3rd edition, with or without Feature Pack 1. Seeing that the app isn't finalized yet, proceed with caution and if you do install it -- there are some concerns right now about memory usage -- so sound off in comments about your experience.

how many years have treos had this?
Anthony @ Sep 24th 2007 8:14PM
Treos have their own atmosphere & gravity they're so big & bulky. I would hope they'd have at least 1 "advanced" feature.
I give Nokia credit as I carry around a small device w/ wifi, 5mp camera, 3.5mm headphone jack, & truly amazing OS (that gets updated - not Garnet from early 2000's).

Well said Anthony! I have the same phone and I absolutely LOVE it! That guy is obviously uneducated to actually make a feeble attempt at comparing an n95 to a pre-historic treo. Welcome to the year 2007 "encounter", my 1st piece of advice to you is READ MORE ENGADGET MOBILE!

Been doing this with SMSChat for S60v3. It also lets you send out timed SMS. So you could send a reminder SMS to a friend at 6:30AM while you are snoring loud enough to keep the building awake.

Would love this application except it seems that the ONLY E-Series device that is not listed it will work on is my E-65.
Warning to all engadget users...E-65 is the red-headed step child of Nokia. Absolutely left out in the cold for software updates for months on end with no comment from Nokia and neat add-on's like this it's ignored.

That's too bad. I thought the E65 was a pretty sharp looking phone. I like the rounded edges. I believe it comes in Red Headed Stepchild & Black.

Should work in E65 just as well
