San Francisco Bay area crank caller bothers police, is lame
A mysterious Californian crank caller who started a spree of crank calling back in March is now responsible for some 2000 irritating calls. Calling himself Nomar, his calls have reported everything from heart attack to robbery and when police are unable to sort out out if the calls are a prank, they have to send somebody out. California Highway Patrol have figured out that the cell being used came from Oklahoma and was apparently donated to a group that distributes them to homeless. You know, if you've got too much time on your hands and feel the need to crank call someone, don't tie up emergency services, call the pizza shops, then call back and cancel.

A lot of homeless people are mentally ill, and that may apply here. You have to be pretty insane to call in a fake heart attack, and possibly take an ambulance away from someone who really needs it.

Tell me again why insane bums need cellphones? Oh, right. To call aliens and God.

"The name is Sal no, no no, not Sol, Sal, Sal Rosenberg."

I don't understand why there is a fund for homeless people to get phones.
