LG's VX10000 and VX8800 touchscreen spyshots?

Here you go spyshot fans: purported pics of LG's new VX10000 and VX8800 handsets which recently cleared FCC approval. They're definitely grainy pics of something with all the naughty bits blocked to protect the innocent. Of course, the VX10000 is fascinating as the supposed successor to LG's VX9900 QWERTY beast. Perhaps more interesting to the masses, however, is that VX8800 slider up there which by all accounts would be the successor to LG's (and Verizon's) VX8550. Just look at that display: big (and thick), and presumably touch-sensitive all baked onto a slider. Shazam!

Checking out all the pics.. I like how the VX10000 opens up into an enV-style phone (with a REAL keyboard, not virtual), but still has the big touchscreen on the outside. Looks like there's finally a true iPhone-killer out there.

Oh, I'm not joking at all. As long as the iPhone is tied exclusively to ATT's subpar network and customer service, and as long as it continues to lack 3G, MMS, voice-calling... yes, it will be vulnerable to competition from good alternatives.

Which the LG 10K definitely appears to be. =]

Looks like a mash up of enV love and Prada love. This will sell well once VZ knocks down the price, rebates are furnished a plenty, and bugs are worked out. I wonder what the battery life will be like?

It looks to me the LG10000 is gonna have tv? if you look at the dipsplay, you'll see a small lil tv with an "X" in the middle(no tv signal,lol) if thats true, that would be 2 SWeet!!!! (N.W.O, style)

Actually, that 8800 screen looks split. There is a small seperator between the upper display portion and the lower 'control' portion. Based on that, I would seriously wonder if the entire thing will be touch sensitive or just that lower part...

The vx10k looks freaking sweet!!! And with MobileTV too! I wish the vx8800 would've been the PRADA variant or the KS20 instead though. Just a little disappointed on that one.

These new phones will be great as long as they update that tired VZW user interface. LOL! I like Verizon's line of LG phones, but it seems like the other cellular brands(moto,samsung,nokia...) models are mediocre & poorly promoted. I believe that it would be a good idea for VZW to exclusively sell LG phones.

When they say "protect the innocent" they mean that the black boxes are to cover up where the test phones have the serial number, etc. to identify the user of that device. If those weren't blacked out, Mr. "anonymous" would be Mr. "unemployed."

I own the vx9800 and considered upgrading to the vx9900 and im glad that i haven't, judging from the photos it seems the inside screen is 16:10 widescreen which i never understood why they didn't put a widescreen in the 9800 and 9900... The 10000 is pretty sweet, if they just put an actual web browser instead of the shitty mobile web 2.0, im in, otherwise i'll go smartphone.

Ok. So i actually have seen the phone and it is amazing. the whole fron is touch screen and has VZ navigator built that doesnt cost extra. and you can text using the touch keypad on the front. Dont know when comes out but when it does i am getting it for sure.

From what I've read, it will have both of what you're looking for. I went to upgrade my phone today and found about the LG 10k. It's due out in December so I'm waiting. Check this sight for more info. Scroll to the bottom of the page.
