Apple killing 4GB iPhone, $299 while supplies last
It's true, Apple has no more use for the puny capacity of its 4GB iPhone, and is selling off the remaining stock at $299. Get 'em while the getting's good! Oh, and yeah, that means the Apple Store is finally back up, after an extended hiatus, so feel free to plunder your checking account with all of Apple's new wares.

or you can buy the 4gb one now. wait a month until the are completly sold out and then break it. when you go to return it, they will only have 8gb models and you'll get a free upgrade...
artifex @ Sep 5th 2007 6:00PM

Nicholas @ Sep 5th 2007 6:12PM

ummm...every time I click on the 'Read' link, it goes to a "Your session has timed out" page. Also I don't see the 4GB on the Apple store.

I already have Cingular/AT&T and I was just wondering if it is easy to go back and forth between hand phones with an iPhone and another phon? As If it was just another hand set to switch to???
I had this thought because of the price break of the iPhone going down to $299... The goddiness is gone, and seems just like another hand set to throw around.
Can someone tell me a straight answer? Please e-mail me at Nijnsky@gmail.com
Thanks for your time.

it's funny..if they announce on the 25th, the availability of the 3g version for europe, you can always bring it back and use it here. All my 3G deutsche telekom D1 contract phones work with T-mobile (you don't even have to go to a T-Punkt, mobilcom, ebay, essentially any retailer that sells prepaid/contract DeTe phones can hook you up with one)..but granted it is the same company..same should be for verizon also since they did once upon a time, own that company too. I have the patience..why bother with right now? they only get cheaper!
Darren @ Sep 5th 2007 9:12PM
I found them under refurbished phones and then under the clearance tab.
KRomeleoN @ Sep 5th 2007 10:17PM
still not enough to ditch my treo 700p
Iscariote @ Sep 6th 2007 8:33AM
I bought a refurbished 4gb last week for $399, called Apple to pricematch it down to $299 and instead they matched it to $249. Cheapest iPhone in the land? I think so.

DOES ANYONE KNOW IF I CAN TRADE OR UPGRADE MY 4GB IPHONE FOR AN 8GB IPHONE??? AND HOW MUCH IT WOULD BE?? THANXX
joanne @ Apr 23rd 2008 10:35AM
I am outrage that I paid $540.00 for my 4GB iphone and hear that this is now the price for an 8GB iphone.I am even more outrage that the best that Apple can do is plan on giving customers a $100 credit. I feel that Apple should at least let the customers with the 4GB iphone upgrade to the 8GB iphone. If you can afford to lose $200, then Apple you can at least let up for the upgrade. In reality you are not losing anything but gaining and keeping the loyalty of a loyal customer!!!

$300 for an iphone is nice, but I would still rather spend it on the BB 8820, whenever it hits Tmobile
