You can see the countdown timer of the event on the http://www.070829.com/ address. Nokia just keeps the secret of it until the last moment.
Due to the floating buttons featured in the video I was expecting something a little more revolutionary. A little bit more like a "Benq's Blackbox-matte iPhone's screen" with floating menus and floating buttons. Well, it seems they kept the old "real" buttons stuck in the phone... :(
If you are patient enough you'll get to the countdown timer after the display of 4 confuse videos (just keep the mouse slightly to the left of the center of the computer screen and just when all the parts of the mobile phone seem to be in the right place, move the mouse cursor to the center of the image - be gentle, note the the mobile-phone parts obey your mouse movement, and they do that in slower motion if you're next to the center of the image - after you've seen one video move, again, slightly to the left and repeat the same movements until you see the fourth video).
If you want to see the little blog they created go to: feed://feeds.feedburner.com/070829

morphos2

Comments on Nokia N81 shown up close and personal

Can't believe that these handset companies are still naming their devices after irrelevant numbers! Consumers want a handset with a name... a real name.. like thundR for the guys or a DeliKT for the girls... why , oh why, did they name this thing an N81??
About as exciting as a hole in the head. Way to go. The creativity is intense

Jay
