Nokia N81 shown up close and personal
We know Nokia's got a big event planned for London tomorrow, but Unwired View's got the images of just what's being shown: among the releases, the 8GB N81 gaming / media phone will be there (though we've little more information the device itself). Also mentioned: the "N95 8GB" device and some new XpressMusic phones. Stay tuned for more info as we get it.

Is this a slider or does it flip to reveal a qwerty keypad or something?

Yep, I might just have to collect some debts to get this one. I can't wait to see the full specs of this thing.
@ Steven: It's a slider, but only reveals a number pad.

Other than 2mp vs 5mp, does anyone have any insight as to any differences between the N81 and the N95 8gb?

Well folks! You can see the countdown timer of the event on the http://www.070829.com/ address. Nokia just keeps the secret of it until the last moment.
Due to the floating buttons featured in the video I was expecting something a little more revolutionary. A little bit more like a "Benq's Blackbox-matte iPhone's screen" with floating menus and floating buttons. Well, it seems they kept the old "real" buttons stuck in the phone... :(
If you are patient enough you'll get to the countdown timer after the display of 4 confuse videos (just keep the mouse slightly to the left of the center of the computer screen and just when all the parts of the mobile phone seem to be in the right place, move the mouse cursor to the center of the image - be gentle, note the the mobile-phone parts obey your mouse movement, and they do that in slower motion if you're next to the center of the image - after you've seen one video move, again, slightly to the left and repeat the same movements until you see the fourth video).
If you want to see the little blog they created go to: feed://feeds.feedburner.com/070829

Can't believe that these handset companies are still naming their devices after irrelevant numbers! Consumers want a handset with a name... a real name.. like thundR for the guys or a DeliKT for the girls... why , oh why, did they name this thing an N81??
About as exciting as a hole in the head. Way to go. The creativity is intense
