We here at Engadget Mobile tend to spend
a lot of way too much time poring over the latest FCC filings, be it on the net or directly on the ol' Federal Communications Commission's site. Since we couldn't possibly (want to) cover all the stuff that goes down there, we've gathered up all the raw info you may want (but probably don't need). Enjoy!

Okay, I cannot access the link but, from the model number alone, Samsung SGH-i640V, I am going to assume this is the update to the BlackJack, i620, with video calling/sharing with the "v" added like "v" in LG cu500v. Anyone know for sure or can anyone tell me what the link reveals?

Doesn't look like it. FCC states the i640v is a 1900 Mhz (no 850 or world bands) GSM & EDGE handset with bluetooth. No mention of UMTS/WCDMA or HSDPA. Sounds like a VERY entry level phone to me! SGH-L400v shows the same specs. The SGH-A811 is an 850 Mhz HSDPA & 1900 GSM/EDGE handset with bluetooth.

And speaking of the Blackjack, where is the WM6 update? I read that it was due out in late July. it is now mid-Aug and no word. Can Engadget (or BGR) do an investigative follow up please?
