The fact that other CDMA carriers have gotten phones before VZW is irrelevant. This post is specifically referencing Sprint, a company whose refusal to carry the CDMA version of the RAZR for almost two years cost them many customers, and whose failure to keep apace with VZW's handset selection continues to hurt them. In recent memory, Sprint has failed to beat VZW to the punch on:
If you're a Sprint customer, it sucks to see VZW getting all the cool exclusives while Sprint sits by the wayside, so an article like this on the RAZR2 coming to Sprint sooner rather than later is definitely newsworthy. It's not "irrelevant" at all.
No, it didn't cost them customers. I got a red raz for the wife. 2 months afterwards, it's been sent back to MOTO 3 times, same issue. I don't fault sprint for carrying the POS phone, maybe they knew something that the others didn't and after 2 years, hoped moto fixed all the bugs. I yawn at this new phone. It wouldn't make me drop my service with one carrier to jump ship to another. It's just a phone, just like the iPhone. Doesn't make my calls sound better, doesn't get calls better, then most other phones out there.. it's just hyped up more. Message to Sprint/Moto.. don't get cault up in the hype.. just produce and sell phones that WORK and don't BREAK 2 months into use.. and MOTO.. get some repair techs that can read english and fix phones the 1st time in the shop.. Till then.. no more moto for this guy.. I'll stick with Sanyo, LG and Samsung (in that order) thank you very much..
