O2's snazzy Cocoon gets unboxed
It's not often that the press shots of a given handset actually don't do the thing justice, but the real live pictures of the O2 Cocoon actually impress quite a bit more than we could have imagined. This futuristic (and dirt-attracting) clamshell sports an all white exterior, crisp internal display, contrasting keypad, and a unique LED display that's sure to spark up conversation. You know the deal, take a closer look after the break.

Can't wait until Verizon gets this and sticks a big scroll wheel on the front! That's what's missing...

Well seeing as O2 commisioned Syntes to design the handset for them it's unlikely to go to any other carriers.
Picked one of these up last week, it's an ok phone but not worth the 300 ($600) prepay price. Or $399ish on a $50 12/18 month contract (25 a month).
Build quality and design is great, menu system is a bit 'laggy', stereo speakers aren't really all that loud and the inability to change the internal menus background from blue is annoying. T9 works like it does on Sony Ericssons, though the space key is placed like Nokias.
The external LED display is great though and a lot of thought has gone into the packaging and bundled accessories (headphone splitter, dock ect).
