Keepin' it real fake, part LXVII: the Pasen ITouch

Although we've seen countless rips of the iPhone at this point, we've only seen a couple of them in action -- and when we do, it's almost always sort of depressing. Take this video of the Pasen ITouch DAP (which bears a striking resemblance to the Onda Honey VX858 and the I-Fighting FT4021): the poor presenter tries valiantly to show off Pasen's "latest and greatest" -- even deploying the awesome power of Jessica Simpson -- but instead just demonstrates that double-clicking and sound effects are kind of annoying on touch devices. On top of that, at 1:37 he attempts some iPhone-style scrolling but fails, so he just exits back to the main screen. Ouch. Looks like there's a reason the MiniOne is expected to cost $989, eh? It looks to me like he's pressing the buttons pretty damn hard. Looks like a workout.

It does look like he is pressing really hard. I'm surprised the screen didn't break. I think it he probably didn't notice that he needed to double tap the screen, so he was pressing hard because thought "it didn't work the first time." That phone is a horrible knock off. The things you'll be able to do with the iTouch and iPhone with programs like Installer.app (such as adding programs for mail and instant message iTouch, and various programs both,) far surpasses the Pasen ITouch DAP possibilities for use. Plus, it's just not as interactive when wanting to watch movies with no tilt sensors compared to the Apple original. In addition, Pasen iDAP seems to loose the innovative pinch function that the iTouch and iPhone provide; This brings the Pasen iDap's loss of functionality to a breaking point.
