iPhoneRIngToneMaker makes adding custom tones a breeze

We love ease of use and Apple is usually on top of that game, but on this outing they seem to have forgotten a few things. The creators of iPhoneRingToneMaker are trying to take some of the pain out of transferring tones to your beloved by presenting you with a GUI and working the magic backstage. The site's FAQ states that there is no danger to your handset and that they are not employing hacks, but are simply transferring the music to your handset -- we aren't sure how, isn't the iPhone locked up tight? The tool will let you transfer your favorite ringers or enable you to create your own from songs you already own in MP3, WAV, or OGG formats. The software -- Windows only -- will run you $10 but they also have a try before you buy package if you just want to test the waters. As with any tools like this, fiddle at your own risk.

i tried this program, works perfect so far. I haven't tried to remove a mp3 yet but the trial, which lets you create and send 3 ringtones, sent the three over fine and shows up in order with the rest of the preloaded ones.

I don't have any songs on my work PC so I sent a typical windows wav file as a ringtone and it worked great. This is a piece of software I will most likely purchase. I just hope Apple doesn't block whatever they are doing with updates.

just tried it and it works like a charm. you can download a trial and use it with full functionality to send at least one ringtone. i'm guessing that the trial will run out pretty soon though.

I'll buy this for 10 bucks. For anyone that's used the app, does it disable the autosync function? Are there any other problems that will be caused?
Much appreciated!

does this program cause any problems with the iPhone? I thought I read that it (or another program like it?) causes the iPhone auto-sync to stop working.
Thanks in advance.

This is what I have been waiting for. SO freaken easy. I tried the free ones than bought it. It is so simple and you can edit your mp3 ringers and manage what ringers are on the phone. Best 10 bucks I have spent in a while.

The program worked fine - until three days later when Mac went to 1.1.1
This compant posted a way to "get around" the new iPhone version. But after following the directions ver batim and having to go to the past version all I had to show for it was a rest iPhone, the program wouldn't work. I understand if I had it for months, but three days, they could have at least offered me a refund when I brought it to their attention. Don't waste your money.

Can the program be installed in multiple computers with the same activation code?
