My point is that web applications cannot replace localized third-party applications because they are of no use without the network. The lack of third-party applications with a 4GB or 8GB flash is ridiculious.
I do like how the ModmyiPhone people were able to change the background. Once you can run homebrew apps on it, its not worth $600. Especially since I've made 3 applications which are very useful on my $50 Dash.
I personally would like Remote Desktoping on the iPhone since it has such a large screen but the web-only apps would leave you to depend on a web-based version which most of the time are not as good.
