With all the hype about built around the
Motorola V9m, we thought it only right to add some more fuel to the fire. One of our old pals hooked us up with some marketing pics of the V9m for
Verizon Wireless in all its slender glory. The two-tone V9m to sports a upgraded 2.0 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, and expandable memory via
microSD. Check out the additional pictures in the gallery!

Where is the eye irritating, tension inducing, red user interface?
Steven @ Jul 18th 2007 10:01AM
The newer Verizon phones do not have the red interface. My LG 8600 actaully has menu options to choose from to get rid of the red interface.
lopes @ Jul 18th 2007 10:56AM
but it's still a version of the verizon UI, which is still crap no matter how much you shine it.
Pete @ Jul 18th 2007 10:06AM
When is it going to be released?
Gennaro @ Jul 18th 2007 10:13AM
This looks good, but not $500 dollars good like I'd heard this would be. I still think the LG 8600 looks just as good.
Timezones @ Jul 18th 2007 10:51AM
Is it going to be REALLY expensive??? I had been holding out for this phone, but if it's gonna cost me $200+ w/2 year contract I may have to pass.
Any idea of a release date???
brad @ Jul 18th 2007 10:38AM
HTC kid where is our libra,6800,i760 and q9m news, we PDA Folks ARE DIEING
Ben Kessler @ Jul 18th 2007 10:52AM
This phone would be nice if Verizon wasn't going to rip out the HTML browser...
elgee02 @ Jul 18th 2007 3:20PM
Web browsing on a small flip phone screen is pointless anyways. You want web browsing? Get a PDA.
Ben Kessler @ Jul 18th 2007 3:38PM
I have a PDA, thanks. For people like my dad who would like to use Google Mobile and Gmail mobile, an HTML browser on a flip phone would be nice. Not VZW's bullshit WAP portal.
elgee02 @ Jul 18th 2007 5:02PM
Yeah for general web browsing it sucks but I gmail automatically modifies itself for WAP browsers, it's great. In an EV-DO area I can access my gmail in under 15 seconds from the menu screen.
cb @ Jul 18th 2007 11:28AM
Oh, it'll be there. They'll waste 3 months getting it actually released to add that and ruin it, which is what's happening with the i760 that people have been waiting months for.
lindsay @ Jul 18th 2007 11:47AM
Verizon would go and make it hideous with that black matte and silver two-tone. Looks like a bad spray paint job. Next carrier please...
elgee02 @ Jul 18th 2007 3:20PM
Verizon Wireless makes phones? I coulda swore Moto made this model, color scheme and all.
Corys00 @ Jul 18th 2007 12:15PM
Fallout Boy? Come on now..
Oh, hot phone too.
Andy Nguyen @ Jul 18th 2007 1:37PM
where's my LG Shine?
Ben Kessler @ Jul 18th 2007 5:08PM
elgee02 why bothering commenting at all? Seriously? Obviously lindsay meant that Verizon chose that horrid color scheme for the phone.
tim @ Jul 18th 2007 7:24PM
Thanks At&t, First you let them have the krzr (an evdo version) 6 months before you launch the edge version in just one color. Then you let them have the maxx, they get the z6 and now they are beating you to the razr2? Not evryone wants an iphone. stop screwing over your non iphone customers AT&T
Jamar @ Jul 18th 2007 9:08PM
HELLO- buy an UNLOCKED PHONE! That's the beauty of GSM- you're free to choose a phone from overseas if you don't like the selection.
tim @ Jul 18th 2007 9:27PM
Hey jamar, Ive bought more than my share of unlocked phones. moto usa will not honer the warranty. Ive learned that the hard and expensive way.. Im banned I think form the u.s. moto store because Ive emailed them so many times about americans being the bastard step children of an american company and that they should be ashamed of themselves. all we get is the leftovers, and as i say, if we buy from asian sources, they wont honer the warranty. even though thats where they are made in the first place..
ryan @ Jul 19th 2007 12:57PM
yay another phone verizon can screw up,
It took me forever to decrapify my razr v3m and get it working with alltel's firmware.
Novey @ Jul 20th 2007 11:58AM
can't wait for this. i actually like verizon wireless better than the other carriers. their interface is different from all the rest. i found that the interface is easy to navigate than samsung's and MOTO's interface. i'll wait for another color than black. i want the pink color. it would be nice if it had Vcast mobile TV enabled.
BipPapi1 @ Jul 20th 2007 3:46PM
Just spoke with VZW customer service. My contract is up and was going to get the maxx but just happened across this gem on moto's website.
VZW says release date is 8/1/07!! Price will be $319.99 or $199.96 with a 2-yr. contract.
builderslb @ Jul 30th 2007 5:12PM
Just talked to VZW customer service, they couldn't confirm the 8/1/07 release date.
nc-jr @ Aug 2nd 2007 3:42PM
I emailed Motorola and this is the response I received:
Thank you for contacting the MOTO STORE, we appreciate your
considerations and interest in our products.
We are sorry to inform you that the RAZR V9m is currently being offered
in international markets only. There is no scheduled U.S. release and
no current U.S. support for this product.
MBEE @ Aug 8th 2007 10:42PM
OEMs do not know when the carrier will release the handset. The Marketing teams develop the launch process and decide when the stores can release it. OEMs ship the product to our DC and we distribute when warranted. Don't call Moto for your information, get a real source. I have had phones get delivered to DC and sit for three weeks because of a firmware challenge. We will keep them housed, flash them before delivery and move the launch date. 8/1 may be correct but there is never a sure date.
